Fitting it all in!

So the last week has been a really busy one. I spent 5 days down in Cork involved in an intensive Bootcamp for Young Entrepreneurs. It didn’t leave a lot of free time so here are some of the things that inspired me this week creatively!

Twitter

I have decided to get engaged with Twitter and this week I really started to research creativity on it and also post. I was delighted when I decided to contact Greenvalu on Twitter to see if they had a spare lead for the Juicer I had purchased from them last year. With in minutes I had a response and the following day I was with John below in their place in Tallaght with the lead in my hand! It really inspired me around customer service and how simple actions and reactions can turn you from a passive consumer into a brand advocate. I am enjoying my twitter experience!

Dale Carnegie

I listened to Dale Carnegie a lot this week and his book about reducing your worry. Listening to the inspirational talks in the morning is such a good way to start the day. I am delighted that this is becoming a habit as it sets up a really good energy for the day.

Drawing

So I found it IMG_7193[1]hard to produce anything physical this week but I did do one drawing. I was missing conversing with Hugh and I decided to articulate my gratitude in a drawing which I sent him by text.

Doing something new

I was working with two of my colleagues this week at the training sessions and it was really interesting to learn from them. Some of the things I was inspired with was

  • Use of humor/entertainment to aid learning
  • Use of physical aids to display learning points (e.g. mirror)
  • Use of tone, volume and speed of voice to change message
  • Use of repetition for important messages
  • Focus on having room ready and script for start off of session
  • Bring the fun and sparkle to the training

I really enjoyed experiencing other peoples style of IMG_2531[1]training. I also enhanced my own skills around training on pitching for business. It was a great experience and inspired more creativity around my own training.

Looking forward to another creative week ahead!
